The "Welcome Home" scent from Hillside Candles is my new favorite. I wasn't sure how lemon, clove and cinnamon would smell together, but the combination is wonderful and also includes notes of leather, balsam, smoke, vanilla and more for an overall divine aroma. It's a sophistcated yet homey scent and appropriate for all seasons, though I can see it being a fall and winter favorite. The wax burns evenly and cleanly for hours of enjoyment. The candle is a good size but not large; it comes in a hefty glass jar that contains about 9 ounces of wax. To me, it seems like there's a bit more wax than that, but that's just my hunch. I love the minimalist glass container that is plain, glossy white and semi-opaque because it looks very clean and serene and will blend into any decor. The soy wax is smooth, clean, creamy white and highly scented. The candle smells divine when burning, but I can still enjoy its aroma even when the candle is not lit -- thanks to the generous amount of fragrance Hillside puts in their wax.Mine arrived in perfect codition. It would make a nice gift as it comes boxed and ready for wrapping. I see others mentioning the price and it is true there are candles of this size available for less, but in my experience they are typically plain vanilla or lavender scented and do not have the sublime blend of fragrance notes this candle has, nor are they highly fragranced like this Hillside candle is. The less expensive candles in my experience are typically mass-produced overseas while Hillside Candles are made in the USA. This is a luxurious gift for yourself and/or a gift you can be proud to give.
