In 2000, Paul Hill stepped into the world of fragrance as Head of Operations at Yankee Candle. What started as a career became a calling — a lifelong devotion to craftsmanship, scent, and the small rituals that make a house feel like home. Years later, alongside his son Tommy, that same passion came to life again through Hillside Candle — a family venture built on love, legacy, and the belief that a candle can tell a story.

A New Chapter Begins

In 2024, Hillside Candle entered a new era under the care of Terrell and Jessica Brown — husband-and-wife entrepreneurs and storytellers with a shared love for elevated design, craftsmanship, and the feeling a perfect scent can create.

Together, they’ve carried forward Paul and Tommy’s tradition of artistry while infusing it with a fresh vision: modern American luxury.

Every Hillside Candle is still hand-poured with care, using premium fragrances, natural soy wax, and elegant vessels meant to be displayed proudly. But beyond the ingredients, each candle is created to evoke emotion — from the comforting crackle of a wick to the way a scent lingers in memory long after the flame fades.
